GAME MECHANICS

In this section you will find Euna's stats, abilities, augments of her abilities, their descriptions and the thinking behind each of them.

STATS

BASE STATS:
HEALTH: 100
ENERGY: 100
ARMOUR: 150
SHIELD: 125
SPRINT: 1.1

Aura: Naramon
Polarities: Vazarin, Madurai

Since she is based on a sheep I wanted to make her a little hardy, but not too tanky, which is why her armour and shield capacity is above that of many Warframes but not the highest. Equally, since she is based on an animal I wanted to make her a little speedy but not the fastest.

Her Naramon aura is to reflect the utility available in her kit. I gave her a Vazarin polarity in order to add to her sturdiness and a Madurai polarity because sheep can inflict their fair share of damage!

ABILITIES

PASSIVE:

When Euna rolls over effects on the ground that can cause damage she can 'clear' them from the floor.

This passive is because many enemies have area of effects (AOE) that cause damage, I came up with this passive on reading that sheep wool can be used to soak up oil spills.

1. FLEECE  – 25 ENERGY

Euna applies fleece to enemies in an AOE which slows them and creates static between afflicted enemies that come too close to one another, stunning them. The fleece can be harvested from enemies by attacking them, providing the harvester with protections from damage.

Euna’s first ability plays on the idea of wool creating static when rubbed together and the practice of harvesting wool from sheep, which can be made into clothes, which protect the wearer.

Augment: Golden Fleece – Enemies killed who have had fleece applied yield bonus credits.

This augment is a reference to the Golden Fleece from Greek mythology. The fleece was a symbol of kingship and was very valuable, which is why the augment yields the harvester extra credits.

2. RAM'S HORN – 50 ENERGY

Euna blows through a ram's horn, using a number of different sounds for different uses.

Blast – This deafens enemies, causing them to stagger, opening them up to stealth finishers.
Screech –  Fears enemies, if there is a fence active from “Penned In” enemies run to it for 'safety'.
Tootle –  A sound that taunts enemies towards Euna at a quickened pace.

This ability plays with the idea of the ram’s horn being used as a trumpet from ancient cultures. This ability could either be a toggle or work similarly to the echo lures used for calling animals for conservation. It also allows her to ‘herd’ enemies much like a shepherd would.

Augment:  Horn Boost - Horn sounds now give corresponding buffs to allies. Blast focuses allies and increases their damage, Screech provides allies with movement speed and Tootle gives protections.

This augment provides Euna with some more support in her kit if desired, since sheep are flock animals it makes sense for her to take care of her allies.

3. PENNED IN – 75 ENERGY

Euna creates an electric fence that allows enemies inside and traps them within, causing electric damage to enemies that touch the edges. If she aims at her created fence and holds the ability button, she can steadily shrink it around enemies, forcing them against the fence sides and closer to one another. If enemies inside are afflicted with fleece, the electric damage from the fence is conducted through them to other, nearby enemies.

The idea for this ability simply comes from the fact that sheep that are kept on farms are often kept within electric fences to protect them from escaping and other animals. This also ties into the electric damage I wanted to tie into her kit and provides a nice synergy with her first ability as it forces enemies close together.

Augment: Jumping the Fence – Jumping over Euna's electric fence provides allies with attack speed.

Another way for Euna to support her allies, but also playing with the image of sheep jumping over their fences, often seen in cartoons, especially by those counting sheep to get to sleep.

4.  COUNT FLOCK –  100 ENERGY

Euna counts the enemies in the area, each enemy provides a stack and enemies with fleece applied provide two stacks. With these stacks Euna can toggle the ability to either put the enemies counted to sleep, the more stacks the longer duration, or use the stacks to provide her and her allies with protections, the more stacks, the higher the protections.

This ability is of course inspired by shepherd’s counting their flock and the idea of counting sheep to fall asleep. It not only links into the idea of sheep being associated with sleep but synergises well with her first ability also. Moreover, once again Euna can control her ‘herd’ of enemies or provide her allies with support with this ability.

Augment: Stack Split – Half of the stacks gained by Count Flock now go towards putting enemies to sleep, the other half to providing Euna and her allies with protections.

This augment is for those that would like to use her stacks for both protections and controlling enemies, giving her a way to be more flexible in team fights.
